The arrangement of Anatolian folk songs for two violins and analysis in terms of violin techniques

In this study, Anatolian folk songs were arranged for two violins and analyzed in terms of violin techniques. A total of 7 folk songs, one from each of the 7 geographical regions in Anatolia, were studied. During the selection of folk songs, many folk songs belonging to the TRT repertoire were examined musically, and it was taken into account that they had the melodic and rhythmic characteristics of the region they belonged to. During the arrangement of the selected folk songs for two violins, attention was paid to convey the melodic and rhythmic structures of the folk songs by preserving their essence by using various violin techniques. In the arrangements, nuance and articulation expressions were included in order to provide musical integrity, and equality and communication between the parties in order to contribute to the skill of playing together. Finale Notepad 2014.5 program was used in the stage of transferring the arrangements to the notes. In the study, general scanning model and content analysis model, which are scientific research methods, were used. In the content of the introductory part; The subject, purpose, importance of the study, the assumptions determined in the study, limitations, definitions, related studies and the method used are included. In the first chapter, the concepts constituting the subject of Music in Anatolia are explained systematically, in a pattern from general to specific. In the 2nd part; Violin, Violin Education in Turkey and Violin Techniques are included. In the third chapter, the original compilations of 7 Anatolian folk songs for the two violins and their arrangements for the two violins were analyzed separately as rhythmic and melodic, and the musical interpretation analyzes of the arrangements were included. In the conclusion part, the results about the problem situations of the research are given, and in the suggestions part, some suggestions for solving other problems related to the subject are given
