Prof. Dr. Jale Balaban-SalıThe aim of this study is to explore whether the lecturers working at Anadolu Universityexperience mobbing in their institutions. In order to achieve this purpose, the effects ofthe variables ?sex, age, title and faculty? of the lecturers on how they perceive mobbingbehaviors are examined.The subjects of the study are 427 randomly chosen lecturers employed at nine differentfaculties at Anadolu University. A questionnaire is used as the data collectioninstrument.A thorough analysis of the results has shown that there is a meaningful relationshipbetween the age variable and the lecturers? perception of the behaviors at theirinstitutions as threats to their social relationships and prestige. In addition, the variable?title? has been found to have significant influence on the degree of the effect ofmobbing behavior.
