Abstract (EN)

Agastache foeniculum (Pursh) Kuntze is a plant native to North America and is used for medicinal purposes and especially as an important pollen source for beekeepers due to its long flowering period. In this study, trials were established in two locations: Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Faculty of Agriculture, Orhangazi and Kümbet Akpınar Eskişehir. The morphological characteristics and the phenological stages of the plant have been identified. Flowering occurred between July 10 and October 10, 2024 in the Faculty plots and between August 1 and September 30, 2024 in Kümbet Akpınar. At the Faculty of Agriculture, Orhangazi location, the average values were as follows: plant height 97.95 cm, number of branches 13.93, flower length 9.24 cm, fresh herbage yield 67.67 g/plant, fresh leaf yield 31.83 g/plant, fresh flower yield 8.76 g/plant, dry herbage yield 20.30 g/plant, dry leaf yield 10.03 g/plant, and dry flower yield 1.66 g/plant. The average values for Kümbet Akpınar were: plant height 67.22 cm, number of branches 16.25, flower length 7.77 cm, total fresh herbage 78.79 g/plant, fresh leaf weight 26.14 g/plant, fresh flower weight 26.6 g/plant, total dry herbage 32.33 g/plant, dry leaf weight 9.95 g/plant, and dry flower weight 8.24 g/plant.The average essential oil content of the flowers was 2.63%, the average numbe of seeds per spike was 1261.65, the thousand- seed weight was 0.37 g and the fixed oil content ranged between 29.97-33.07%. In the germination tests, seed germination rates were determined to be 37% under room conditions and 73.75% under controlled conditions.
