Abstract (EN)
With the increase of population, life quality has been deteriorating. Life quality decreases due to ascending carbon emissions, environmental issues and traffic congestions. At this point cycling and bicycle facilities significant for cities. Nowadays bicycles being essential transportation vehicle for developed cities because it's not only maintaining sustainable transportation, reducing traffic density, being economical and non-polluting vehicle but also providing physical activity. In this study conducted in the city of Antakya; carried out to display bicycle path options and evaluate convenience in it. 19 Route options which define bicycle network consist from existing transportation system has been organized to assess suitability. 16 criteria have been used to decide of suitability of routes include topography, pavement, recreational facilities, demography, existing vehicle parks, visual quality, traffic density, road width. These criteria have been weighted according to their importance with using analytic hierarchy process and weighted criteria method which based survey conducted through 20 professional and 301 users. With the analysis and evaluation of the criterias in the city of Antakya the convenience of the routes has been revealed.
