Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to apply a rockfall hazard rating system for the control of driving safety on selected slopes at the Sarısu-Kemer (between 15 + 100.00- 40 + 065.64 km) section of the Antalya-Muğla D400 Highway, which connects many tourism centers. In the system known as Tennessee Rockfall Hazard Rating System (RHRS) (Cain 2004), two types of classification are made, priority and detailed. Slopes that are considered dangerous as a result of priority classification (Class A) are subjected to detailed classification. In detailed classification, information about field and road geometry such as slope height, slope front trench activity, average vehicle risk, road width, distance to the driver's perception of the falling block, history of rockfall, and information about geological characteristics such as different types of slope failures (planar, wedge, overturning, rock fall due to different weathering, raveling) detected observationally are scored within the scope of field studies. At the end of the field studies carried out within the scope of the thesis study, 8 A-class slopes were determined, and detailed classification studies on these slopes were applied. As a result of the detailed classification, the slopes which get over 300 points in terms of both field and road geometry and geological characteristics were evaluated as very dangerous.
