Abstract (EN)
In this study, the details of the ancient Greek sound system, namely the characteristics of the modes, the tunings of the periodical instruments and the melody organizations will be examined, and the musical partnerships dating back to the Byzantine period will be tried to be understood through instruments. Afterwards, the music-based relations between the Ancient Greek period and the Middle Ages Islamic period will be discussed in the context of the sound system, melody organizations and the mode-mode relationship through the Arpçeng relationship. In the last stage, Mode-Maqam-relationship in the 20th century will be discussed through Adnan Saygun's understanding of Customs, and the effects of Ancient Greek modes on today's makam structures and sound system will be discussed in terms of today's applications.
