Persian figures in Ancient Greek ceramic art

In this work named "Persian Figures in Ancient Greek Ceramic Art", the establishment of the Persian Empire, its spread to Anatolian lands, its progress to Greece, its sovereignty in the regions where it has spread for about two hundred years, its culture, satrap system, management policy, wars. The empire's weakening and collapse were studied in the light of ancient sources. Persians have adopted the clothing styles and equipment of different civilizations, especially Meds. In the second and third part of our study, researches have been made about the clothes and equipment of Persians. The characteristics, usage patterns, materials and styles of clothing and equipment were examined under the titles. In the fourth part of our study, the perspectives of the Greeks towards the Persians who occupied their lands were examined. Greeks, who excelled in art, depicted Persian figures on the works they produced. Persian depictions depicted on plastic, glyptic and necrological artifacts are examined in the fifth part of our study. In the last part of our study, Persian figures depicted in Ancient Greek ceramic art were categorized and examined. Persian figures were evaluated typologically in a chronological frame. It has been investigated how Persian figures depicted in ancient Greek ceramic art in a period of about two centuries changed during this period.
