Abstract (EN)
It is possible to state that the new expressions in art are the products of the effort spent to understand the changing human being and life. Life and accordingly changing human reality is made to be seen in art through new forms. Every new art form has some traces of the living conditions and the human of its epoch. It is seen in modern life that the human and life reality is influenced by the alienation phenomenon. By the 20th century, safe and tranquil life of the past has been evaded by a meaning-missing alien and fragmented world. Traditional values have lost their meanings and the person who finds nothing to replace their abandoned center of life has faced the danger of loosing their own selves. Now that, the life is sensed and perceived in a different kind of way. And this fact, along with itself, has brought new viewpoints and the need to search for different ways of expressions in art under the framework of modernism.Similarly, in cinema, contemporary film narration helps to show 20th century?s human and life reality and makes the facilities of cinema develop for this aim. Contemporary film narration, which has proved to be an idea medium disclosing human condition of the epoch, can be considered as the expression of the 20th century?s human and life reality meld with alienation. Demolishing classical film topics and the plot, films of contemporary film narration are formed upon the lines of the world loosing meaning and wholeness.By this study, the bond between alienation and contemporary film narration will be tried to be explicated within Michelangelo Antonioni?s The Adventure (L?Avventura), The Night (La Notte) and The Eclipse (L?Eclisse) formed with contemporary film narration and in which alienation is treated multi-dimensionally as the main problem.
