Abstract (EN)

In this age when commerce has developed, and circulation of products has speeded up, storage and stockpiling activities hold very important positions. The main aim of firms in importing operations with regard to storage is to access products easily and be sure that they are stored safely. When we look from this perspective, entrepots, where goods used in commerce are stored after they arrive to country until their processes of entering circulation are completed, have considerable importance. Entrepots, which are customs bonded areas, makes things easier for firms in various aspects, provides them with the convenience of taking their products back by gradually completing the importing operations of the products and paying their taxes. Additionally, when getting necessary permissions or in the period of supplying documents, they provide the opportunity of implementing storage activities with safety, without occurrence of any penal situation. If firms are to carry out the importing operations of their products through entrepots around their own profit/cost analysis, they undergo a decision making process. In this frame, they seek to maximize their profits and minimize the costs including all probable negative situations while choosing entrepots. In the first part of the study titled "The evaluations of the performances of the entrepots with entropy and TOPSIS methods: An application on the entrepots " is introduction, in the second part, in accordance with the law number 4458, from the definition of entrepots to their process of emergence and from their operation to their inspection, a wide range of topics are mentioned. In the third part, deciding, decision making process and the methods of multi criterion decision making are explained with subheadings. In the fourth, the evaluation of the performances of the entrepots belonging to Muratbey Customs Office with entropy and TOPSIS methods are executed. Finally, the fifth part consists of the conclusion.
