Abstract (EN)
Solar energy plays a leading role in the renewable energy transition, offering significant environmental and financial benefits. Effective and cost-efficient design and construction of solar power plants are crucial for maximizing these advantages. This study focuses on the structural design of solar power plants, particularly the use of lightweight steel and aluminum structures, and the financial analysis of their implementation. Using the solar energy potential of the Karacabey district in Bursa as a case study, structural analyses were performed according to AISI and Eurocode standards. These evaluations included material advantages, design parameters, load combinations, and cost analysis. The findings provide recommendations for optimizing the structural and financial aspects of solar power plants to enhance sustainability and efficiency
