Abstract (EN)
The use of water in agriculture is a necessity for plant production, and it is necessary to determine the plant water consumption in order to meet the plant water need sufficiently and efficiently. Plant water consumption varies not only with meteorological conditions, but also with plant variety. The use of appropriate plant water consumption calculation methods in the planning of irrigation systems at the basin level facilitates the operations. Today, as a result of population growth, industrialization and most importantly climate change, the importance of water has increased as a result of global warming, usage efficiency and performance criteria have gained importance. In this study, it is aimed to determine important parameters such as evapotranspiration and biomass in large areas with satellite technology. For this purpose, the PySEBAL model, which is the Surface Energy Balance for Land algorithm, was used. By running the model, reference evapotranspiration, plant coefficient, actual evapotranspiration, plant vegetation indices and biomass production data were obtained. These values were compared with the climate data and the results obtained at the field level. The PySEBAL model was able to calculate the actual evapotranspiration with an error of 15-20%. It is thought that remote sensing techniques, which give results with a lot of weather and less cost compared to calculation methods with climate data, will be used more in the near future.
