Neogene units are represented by Alibonca, Küseyin, Parçikan, Boyacaformations and Mamaar volcanic units.Ilyocypris bradyi, Ilyocypris gibba, Candona (C.) parallela pannonica andHeterocypris salina are described in Küseyin formation; Cyprides pannonica,Cyprideis (C.) anatolica, Cyprideis torosa, Ilyocypris gibba, Candona angulata,Candona neglecta, Candona (C.) parallela pannonica and Heterocypris salina areobserved in Parçikan formation. Cyprideis are dominant genera in Parçikanformation.According to the features and fossil contents of the Upper Miocene units,Küseyin formation was deposited in meandering river facies and Parçikan formationwas formed a shallow lacustrine environment associated with swamps. The ostracodassemblages in this study have been correlated to ostracod species of Tethys andParatethys region. Cyprideis pannonica is observed in the Paratethys bioprovences.Cyprideis torosa (Jones), Ilyocypris gibba (Ramdohr), Ilyocypris bradyi (Sars),Heteroscypris salina (Brady), Candona angulata G.W.Mueller, Candona neglectaSars were known in Paratethys and Tethys bioprovence.Keywords: Ostracods, Environment, Neogene, Eastern Anatolia.II
