Abstract (EN)
The theme of the thesis called "Romanizing of Nicaea in the light of Archaeological and Epigraphic Findings" is about examining the Romanizing process of Nicaea by interpreting ancient resources and archaeological findings. To interpret the Romanizing process, concerning social developments, inscriptions, enfranchisement and usage of Latin language will be examined. The purpose of this study is, to understand how the Romanizing process occured, how the people of Nicaea adopted the Roman culture and what sort of changes the city had in the matter of socio-cultural life, after whole archaeological evidences and ancient resources are studied.
