Abstract (EN)
Historiography is the most important indicator of nationalism that a country will pass on to its future generations. In this important indicator, the respect of nations for the science of history reveals how close or far they are to raising world citizens in the process of nation-state building. The fact that the history course started to be examined as a science instead of "collecting material from the past" in the XIXth century and its writing was done with this in mind significantly ensured the legitimacy of the states established after the French Revolution. As a matter of fact, the historiography of the newly established nations, which were separated from the imperial legacy, followed an objective or opposite course in this regard. At the end of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries at this level, it was decided that the people who became conscious at the end of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries should end the fight for history and that this fight should be done objectively with scientific sources that respect science. In this context, the activities of UNESCO and efforts to create "world citizenship awareness" have come to the present day. In this study, the image of the Turk in the Historia 10, Historia 11 and Historia 12 textbooks used in high school history classes of grades 10, 11 and 12th in Albania was analyzed. In Albanian high school history textbooks, although it is seen that negative words such as occupation/resistance etc. are used for Turks in terms of language, it is seen that the narrations about Turks are based on documents and main sources, which enriches the narrations.
