Augmented reality children story book design

The emergence of many different technologies in the 20th century enabled the use of information resources in digital environment. Education has diversified over different platforms with the new technological developments of the age such as intranet, internet, distance education, virtual reality and augmented reality applications, allowing students to have different opportunities in learning activities. These developing new technologies also caused the structure of the new generation to change. Many features that cannot be realized within the traditional education model such as video, audio, animation, interaction, have become possible with AR technologies. Augmented reality technology, which affects many fields of education, takes its place as an alternative technology use for children's story books. This study deals with the topic of Augmented Reality Children's Story Book Design as a source scanning method, and also presents an applied project on the subject. It is a general introduction in the first chapter of the thesis. In the second chapter, it has been tried to reveal the types of reality from the augmented reality technology to the usage areas. In the third chapter, the differences between conventional story books and augmented reality story books are tried to be shown by emphasizing the relationships between story, augmented reality and learning. The fourth chapter contains the report of the augmented reality children's storybook application project. In the fifth chapter, there is a conclusion part with summarization, interpretation, evaluation and suggestions in the light of data.
