Synthesis and investigation of acetyl-benzofuran-methacrylate homo and copolymers

Then,it was preapared by the same method mentioned above with acrylonitrile(AN) and styrene(St) of ABM. The structures of Poly(ABM), Poly(ABM-co-AN) and Poly(ABM-co-St) were characterized by IR,1H-NMR and Elemental Analysis Techniques.The glass transition temperature and decomposition temperature of homopolymers andcopolymers were measured by DSC and TGA. The monomer reactivity ratios of copolymerizationwere calculated by the Kelen-Tudos methods. Mw/Mn and avarage molecular weight of the polymerswere determined using Gel Permation Chromatography(GPC). Thermal behaviord of homo andcopolymers were measured by TGA and activation energies of thermal decomposition were calculated.Keywords: 2-Asetil Benzofuran Methacrylate, Thermal Analysis, Reactivity Ratio
