Abstract (EN)
Although astrology seeks to establish itself with in the scientific community due to its reliance on statistical data, similar to meteorology and economics, the scientific community's stance on astrology is unequivocally dismissive. Therefore, this study aims to bridge the gap between these two domains. The first section examines the history of astrology and its relationship with science. This section discusses what astrology is, its early uses throughout history, its interaction with science and the points of divergence from science. The transition from mythos to logos and the subsequent process beginning with the discovery of the telescope are identified as criticalpoints of separation betweens cience and astrology. The "methodological difference" is a common factor in both fields. The second section evaluates astrology as a 'pseudoscience'. It explores the reasons for its classification as such and its deviations from scientific rigor from the perspective of the philosophy of science. The approaches of widely accepted philosophers of science (logical positivists, Popper and Kuhn) are reviewed, and it is identified that the issues stem from their lack of knowledge about the actual workings of astrology. The third section demonstrates the possibility of a 'scientific test of astrology' and discusses potential solutions to the issues raised in the second section from the perspective of 'true astrology'. The primary aim of this study is not to prove that astrology is a science but to establish that it can be subjected to scientific testing and to redefine its boundaries to ensure the consistency of this proof.
