Globalization, technological improvements, increased competition and ever-changing world order, have brought businesses to adopt new organizational structures and management approaches during the last few decades. In world markets pressured under heavy competition, economical borders are becoming obsolete; competition is reshaping the organizational structures with new ideas, forcing them to follow, adjust and implement improvements. This necessity has caused many firms to restructure their organizations. Under the pressure of the highly competitive times, organizations need qualified employees that are committed to the goals and values of the organization and its those, that play the main role of driving the organization to the future. The contribution level of the atypical employees to the organizational success depends on the organizational commitment levels of these human resources.Organizational commitment is the psychological condition that describes the employee?s relation with the organization. Organizational climate, which describes the identity of the organization that is perceived by most of the employee?s, is a very important factor in explaining the human behavior variable. It affects the outcome of the behaviors that are directly tied to the job satisfaction, performance, organizational commitment and intent to leave. The intend of this study is to analyze the relationship between the organizational commitment and organizational climate of the atypical employees. The data is provided through surveys conducted to a variety of atypical employees such as the subcontracted employees of the Istanbul City Social Services. The statistical analyses and test results point out a positive relationship between the organizational commitment and organizational climate.
