Abstract (EN)
Nowadays community-acquired pneumonia is still the most important cause of morbidity and mortality owing to not being in the group of obligatory notificatin diseases and not doing overall epidemiologic workings. The studies about indirect immunoflourescent antibody assay (IFA) have been limited number but the method always has given efficient results. IFA is especially preferred today because of being more pratical and reliable than many other methods. In this study, atyphic agents, agent frequency, and agent?s distribution have been determined in patients with initial diagnosis due to age and gender. It has been studied with total 195 patients including 31 women, 64 men, 96 children and 4 neonatals. IgM type antibody have been determined by indirect immunofluorescent antibody assay. In 106 patients, bacterial and viral agents have been determined and no agents have been determined in 89 patients. Klebsiella pneumoniae was the most determined bacterial agent and Adenovirus was the most determined viral agent. All of agents have been determined in winter and autumn and the most range of age was 1-10 ages and 50-60 ages intervals. It was seen that the method was useful and anvantageous. It was determined that IFA is quick, practical, low cost, high seroposivity and sensivity and most appropriate method at determination for pneumonia agents.Key words: Community-acquired pneumonia, indirect immunofluorescent antibody assay, atyphic pneumonia.
