Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of the study, a comprehensive laboratory experimental program was created to evaluate the examples of the effect of waste cooking oil and motor oil added into short-term and long-term aged asphalt samples with SBS modification on the rheological properties of bitumen. Test specimens with different aging times were obtained by test simulation using Thin Film Heating (RTFO) and Pressure Aging Vessel (PAV). Afterwards, the appropriate SBS value to be used by the weight of the binder was determined, and the improvement performances were examined with the addition of waste motor oil and waste cooking oil. Penetration, softening point, rotational viscosity, dynamic shear rheometry (DSR), multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR) tests were performed on the binders. In this context, examining the rheological properties. The results clearly showed that SBS, waste motor oil and waste cooking oil can effectively soften and restore the workability of aged asphalt. The use of waste motor oil and SBS significantly improved the rheological properties of the aged binder. Overall, good applicability will provide a much wider range of services in the field of asphalt pavement recycling to waste oil. In addition, it has realized the waste cyclic use and environmental protection.
