Abstract (EN)
The increasing industrialization, urbanization and the technological development have caused to increase depletion of the natural resources and environmental pollution's problem. Especially, for the countries which have not enough space recycling of the waste eliminating waste on regular basis or decreasing the amount and volume of waste have provided the important advantages. There are lots of studies and projects to develop both protect resources and prevent environmental pollution. PET bottles are commonly used in beverage industry and can be reused after physical and chemical recycling processes. Usage areas of recycled PET have been developed rapidly. Recently environmental, legislative and consumer pressures have led to an increase of interest in reusing polymers from waste. Polymer composites are attractive for variety of applications due to many features including low weight, low cost, ease of processing and shaping, and corrosion resistance. Fillers are typically added to enhance chemical and/or physical properties of polymers. In this study, composite materials will be produced using the waste PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles and the marble dust. Thus both the reduction of pollution caused by waste and the low cost of marble dust, flame retardancy properties, high mechanical properties, combined with PET in features lower cost but higher mechanical properties a new materials will be achieved. For this purpose, the particles obtained from PET waste and marble dust were mixed in a screw (extruder). The production of composite materials, its chemical and mechanical possibilities and usage possibilities of composite materials as a new material in industry were investigated.
