Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACTIn this study, the interaction of poly (tert-butyl acrylate-b-methyl metacrylate) synthesizedvia atom transfer radical polymerization with benzene, toluen, butyl acetate, isobutylacetate, isoamyl acetate and tetrahydrofurane between 40 and 170 0C , ethyl benzene, propylbenzene, isopropyl benzene, chloro benzene, octane, nonane, decane, metyl acetate, ethylacetate, propyl acetate, dioxane between 140 and 170 0C were examined by inverse gaschromatography technique. The retention diagrams of these solvents for poly (tert-butylacrylate-b-methylmetacrilate) were plotted by using the experimentally obtainedspecific retention volumes. Glass transition temperatures of poly (tert-butylacrylate-b-methylmetacrilate) were determined from retention diagrams. The glass transitiontemperatures obtained from retention diagrams were compared to the values of glasstransition temperature obtained from differantial scanning calorimetry.∞The weight fraction activity coefficients of the solvent at infinite dilution, Ω1 , polymer-solvent interaction parameters for Flory-Huggins theory, χ 12 and equation of state theory χ 12 ,∞ ∗effective exchange energy parameters X 12 , the partial molar heat of sorption, ΔH S , thepartial molar heat of mixing at infinite dilution of the solvent, ΔH 1∞ , molar heat ofvaporization ΔH V , and solubility parameters of polymer, δ 2 were obtained. Keywords: Poly (tert-butyl acrylate-b-methyl metacrylate), atom transfer radicalpolymerization, inverse gas chromatography, glass transition temperature, solubilityparameters, polymer-solvent interaction parameters.iii
