Abstract (EN)

Citrus agriculture is of great importance for Turkey. However, there are negative factors affecting citrus production such as diseases, pests and weeds in addition to problems related to cultivation in citrus fields. The first of these is the pest factor. More than 80 pest species have been detected in citrus orchards in Turkey, and there are more than 150 beneficial species that feed on pest species. One of these beneficial species is "Amblyseius swirskii", which released into nature and marketed by some companies in our country. In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the side effects of some plant protection products against A.swirskii in semi field conditions. In the trials, 2 insecticides (Spirotetramat, dimethoate), 2 acaricide (Spirodiclophen abamectin) and 1 organic insecticide (Orange oil) were applied against A. swirskii on 5 plants (pepper, eggplant, citrus, coleus, oleander). The experiment was carried out with 5 replicates. Dried fruit mite (Carpoglyphus lactis (L)) + pine pollen was given as food during the rearing of A.swirskii. The data obtained as a result of the study were evaluated based on the class values determined by the IOBC, by calculated the % mortality rates according to Henderson-Tilton. As a result, orange oil causes a mortality rate of less than 50% and were classified as less harmful(class 2). Spirotetramate causes a death rate of over 41.25% and were classified moderately harmful (class 3) , spirodiclophen and abamectin are generally rate of over 50% on all counted days (3,7,10,14) except the first day and were classified as moderately harmful (class 3) ,harmful (class 4). The active ingredient dimethoate, which was used as a positive control plant protection product, showed 100% mortality effect and were classified as harmful ( class4).
