Abstract (EN)

In this research, the accidents of agricultural vehicles and tractors attached to agricultural tankers in Aydın province were evaluated. The inadequacy of trailer warning labels in accidents and the adequacy of trailer warning codes within the highway laws were investigated. In the research, the effects and conditions of 3 different trailers on the drivers were compared by taking averages. A comparison was made between the results of the trailer awareness experiment and the accidents experienced. It has been determined that increasing the warning and lighting in the test trailers makes the drivers more visible in the distant and twilight hours. It has been determined that the accidents in Aydın province were caused by overloading of trailers with insufficient warning labels. Between 2019 and 2021, an average of 62 people were injured in tractor trailer accidents in the police responsibility area. On the other hand, the average number of accidents is 40 per year. In the accidents that occurred in the gendarmerie responsibility area between 2019-2022, an average of 56 people were injured, an average of 4 people died and an average of 35.5 accidents occurred. In order to prevent serious injuries and irreparable disabilities in accidents that occur every year, the first necessary measures are the tightening of training and supervision.
