Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, in order to determine the effects of different organic and mineral fertilizer applications on the yield and quality traits of oat plants in Aydın conditions, it was carried out during the growth and development period of the oat plant for two years in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. The experimental material consists of two different oat varieties (Kahraman and Yellow). A total of 3 applications were made in the experiment: 4 different mineral nitrogen doses (0, 5, 10-15 kg/da), 2 barn manure doses (1 and 2 tons/da) and 2 vermicompost doses (150 and 300 kg/da). The experiment was established according to a randomized block split plot design with 3 replications. In the study, cluster emergence day duration, cluster maturation time, number of clusters per square meter, cluster length, number of grains per cluster, single plant yield, plant height, thousand grain weight, grain yield, protein content in grain, fiber content, oil content, flag leaf area amount and SPAD chlorophyll content characteristics were investigated. According to the results obtained; in oat plant, flag leaf area amount, plant height, number of grains in panicle, number of panicles per square meter, thousand grain weight, panicle length and grain yield elements and quality characteristics such as grain protein ratio and starch ratio, organic fertilizer forms and mineral fertilizer applications were found to be significant in the first year. This effect could not be observed in these parameters in the second year. In order to achieve high grain yield in oat plants, a minimum of 10 kg/da nitrogen dose should be applied in addition to organic fertilizer applications. The highest results were obtained from 300 kg/da vermicompost + 1 ton and 300 kg/da vermicompost + 2 tons barn manure applications, but it was concluded that lower doses of organic fertilizer would be sufficient since the cumulative effect of organic fertilizer would reach a balance over time. Key Words: Compost, Nitrogen fertilization, Oats, Sustainable agriculture, Worm castings.
