Abstract (EN)

It is known that there are different approaches to bağlama, one of the main instruments of folk music. However, it is also a fact that bağlama has different playing techniques and styles from region to region. These independent attitudes and approaches bring about methodological and structural problems in the development of the bağlama instrument. These problems generally reveal a non-standard perspective in terms of execution, position, and terminology. It is thought that standardization regarding bağlama will also pave the way for systematic sustainability for the instrument. The acceptance of a national and standard school for a traditional instrument is the final step in the universalization process of that instrument. It is seen that the necessity of a common perspective is emphasized in the research conducted on the standardization of the bağlama school. In this research, it is aimed to examine the functionality of the context as an instrument through the literature. Thanks to the information obtained in the study, it is thought that the conceptual and historical importance of the bağlama instrument from local to national is emphasized. As a result, the research tried to draw the basic lines of a standardized bağlama school. It is thought that this study will provide a preliminary flow of information for more specific research in the field.
