Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of the kinematic parameters of the independent suspension systems on the cornering behavior of the road vehicle were investigated. By using a five-mass, 11 degrees of freedom mathematical model based on the second order differential equations that were generated from generalized coordinates of the vehicle body and the wheels, a MATLAB®-based computer program was developed. The effects of the independent suspension geometry on ride characteristics of the vehicle were studied.
