Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in 2017 and 2018 in 16 different walnut genotypes grown in Bahçesaray district of Van province. Density and size of stomatas in the leaves of walnut genotypes were determined by using the methods of molding and transparency. In the same time the chlorophyll contents were determined by SPAD and Spektrofotometer. By these methods of molding and transparency, difference between the number of stomatas of the leaves of the same walnut genotypes were found to be statistically significant (p <0.001). When the stomatal density of 13 walnut genotypes were found to be higher in the in the mold method, 3 walnut genotypes' stomatal density were found to be higher in the method of transparency. The significant difference between the varieties in terms of number of stomata shows that, the number of stomata is unique under certain conditions. In the walnut genotypes studied, it is seen that generally there is an inverse correlation between stomatal density and size. There is a significant regression between both the chlorophyll a and b (R² = 0.9297) and the total chlorophyll and carotenoid (R² = 0.9045) in the examined varieties. SPAD values in the leaves of walnut genotypes were determined in the range of 34.71-57.54. The highest SPAD values were obtained in 65 BH 16 genotype with a value of 57.54, while the lowest SPAD was found in 65 BH 11 walnut genotype with a value of 34.71.
