Social and political developments in Bulgaria according to Balkan Newspaper (1906-1908)

The newspaper became the most basic mass communication means in 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century. This means was also used and spread in the Ottoman Empire from the beginning of the 19th century. In this thesis, it is aimed to create a historiography by using the the news and the articles of Balkan Newspaper published by Ethem Ruhi Bey in Bulgarian Principality of Ottoman Empire. For this study, the issues of the newspaper taken from Beyazıt Library Periodicals of Hakkı Tarık Us Collection were examined, Bulgaria was scrutinized socially and politically.
