Development and implementation of an expert system for determining core competences at banking sector

Nowadays, a growing domestic and international competition, rapidly evolving technology and the intensive use of technology, reduction of the product?s duration of life, the changes of organization structure such as the internal and external environmental processes forcing businesses. Business tries various strategies in the face of intense competition. Today, enterprises achieve competitive advantages, which are important features if it does not have the advantages of sustainability do not mean much. The potential of an organization?s sustainable competitive advantage depends on the rareness and imitability of its resources and capabilities. The less imitable a competitive advantage is, the more cost disadvantage is faced by the competitor in imitating these competencies. Thus, core competence is an important source of sustained competitive advantage for corporate success and greater is its economic return. The literature has beenreviewed for the sources of core competence, role of core competence for competitive advantage, and formulation of strategy with core competence and flexibility in a more focussed manner. The organizational learning, strategicflexibility, effective technology management, and people provide the important sources of core competence. In this study contains development expert system for determining core competency and an implementation on the banking sector.
