The main purpose of the study is to examine the cognitive emotion regulation of basketball referees and their decision-making skills. Another aim is to evaluate the decision-making skills and cognitive emotion regulation status of referees according to their personal characteristics. Research; It was designed according to the quantitative research model, and a method for descriptive and relational scanning, which aims to reveal the current situation, was preferred. The universe of the research consists of individuals who are active referees in Turkish Basketball Leagues. The sample of the study (n= 170) consists of participants. The obtained data were transferred to the IBMM SPSS 25 package program, Independent sample t test and Oneway ANOVA analysis were applied. Statistically, p<0.05 was accepted as statistically significant. As a result, it was determined that it was significant in the direction of men in the sub-dimensions of acceptance and positive review, and in the direction of women in the dimension of blaming others. It has been determined that female basketball referees tend to have more procrastinating decision-making styles, and the procrastinating decision-making style differs according to gender. It has been determined that the ages of basketball referees do not affect their decision-making styles and show similarities. It is understood that the B classification basketball referees blame themselves more in the incidents, and the A classification referees display a more optimistic attitude in the negative situations. On the other hand, it is seen that the event experienced in the dimension of placing in the perspective of the C classification referees has been reduced by comparing it with other events. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the sub-dimensions of careful decision making and panic decision making according to the classification of the participants. Cognitive emotion regulation of the education level of basketball referees; It was determined that it was a determinant variable in the sub-dimension of putting it in perspective and destruction. It has been determined that there is a statistically significant difference in the decision-making styles and self-esteem sub-dimensions according to the education variable. As the experience increases, it is understood that basketball referees are better able to focus on the positive aspects despite the negativities. It was determined that there was no significant difference in other sub-dimensions. According to the experiences of the participants, it was determined that there was no significant difference in all sub-dimensions of decision-making styles and that they showed similar characteristics.
