Abstract (EN)

In this work, 2,6-bis ((E) - ((5-chloro-2-mercapto phenyl) imino) methyl) -4-methylphenol ligand (HL) and its transition metal (Cu (II) and Co (II))) complexes synthesized and characterized by using elemental analysis FT-IR, UV-vis and molar conductivity techniques. It was found that synthesized according to the results of molar conductivity of complex compounds do not show electrolytic conductivity. When the characteristic infrared spectrum data of ligand and transition metal complexes were compared, it was determined that the ligand was coordinated with the NS donor set to metal ions. The thermal degradation kinetics of synthesized ligand and transition metal complexes were investigated by thermogravimetry (TG) under non-isothermal experimental conditions. Kinetic analyses ligand and its complexes were carried out using thermogravimetry at different heating rates. The heating rates employed for both ligand and its complexes were 6, 12 and 18 °C/min. Coats and Redfern, Ozawa and Freeman-Carroll were chosen as the thermogravimetric methods which are important in the decomposition kinetics studies. From the TG curves apparent kinetic parameters (activaton energy E, frequency factor A and reaction order n) and same thermodynamic functions (activation entropy S, enthalpy H end Gibbs free energy G) of these thermal reactions were determined by using the methods.
