Abstract (EN)
The production of medicinal and aromatic plants which have economic contribution to the national economy is rapidly increasing at present. In general, these products being gathered from nature and cultural were obtained in large areas using specific production methods of mechanization is a commercially significant. For this purpose, researches about to find and develop new methods are continuing. Especially new studies of medicinal and aromatic plants on small plant seeds is a major issue for culturing of these plants. In this study were discussed on coating seeds of İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) and Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) plants which are amount of consumption is high in our country and the outside. Suitable coating and pelleting methods have been developed for the targeted quality of seed production. The best resulted method among which prescribed methods was used coating plant seeds and appropriate material type with quantities belongs to applied coating method has been determined. İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) and Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) plants' seeds size and shape have been changed after these appropriate.İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) and Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) seeds were approximately up 3x in the size of the seed coating and pelleting after application. In terms of surface area values of İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) seeds in the control group 0.12 mm, film coated group 0.12 mm and pelleted seeds reached to 0.27 mm. Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) seeds in the surface area values in the control group 0.28 mm, film coated group 0.28 mm and pelleted seeds if there is an increase in the size of 0.75 mm.İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) seed thousand grain weight in the control group 0.08 g, film coated group 0.26 g and pelleted seeds was determined as 0.38 g. Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) thousand seed weight of the grain; control group 0.65 g, film coated group 0.67 g of and pelleted seeds were found to be 1.10 g. The bulk density values of the seed; İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) seeds 0,51 kg / hL and Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) seeds 0.64 kg / hL has been identified as. Control of these plants and the application made (film coated-pelleted seeds) the seeds of static and dynamic friction coefficient of the seed case, the surface characteristics and was found to be statistically significant relationship with each other.Coating methods applied in the most appropriate method of material type and amount are determined. After that some of the different physical, physiological and mechanical properties were determined on İzmir kekiği (Origanum onites L.) ve Oğulotu (Melissa officinalis L.) plant's seeds which film coated and pelleted in requested quality. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software package.
