Abstract (EN)
Based on double hit hypothesis used for describing tumor supressor genes, LOH (loss of heterozygosity) analysis on basal cell carcinomas (BCC) pointed out an increase in chromosome 4q22-35 deletion, which shows that one of the genes at this locus is a candidate tumor supressor gene.ING-2 is a member of ING gene family and functions in DNA repair, cell division and apoptosis. In order to determine the function of this gene in basal cell carcinoma, the m-RNA expressions among normal and tumoral tissues were compared. As a result, the decreased expression of m-RNA of ING-2 gene in tumoral tissues compared to that of normal tissues suggests that ING-2 gene is a tumor supressor gene for BCC.
