Abstract (EN)
Stage art is a designed and planned communication with all of its different variations. In this communicational design, values of human nature, society or culture meets with consciously valued esthetics. The main concern of stage arts is to impress the audience by transferring the message of the creator through an artistic communicational path between the creator and the audience. One branch of communication/socialization happens with arts and adds the concept a specialized artistic dimension. Theatre and dance always helped the audience understand and interpret life through aesthetic viewpoints including seeing, but also hearing and feeling. The most important instrument in that process has always been the human body. The communication constructed between the creator and the audience with the instrument of the human body is not generally verbal, and is called Body Language Communication. With works about body language communication, body language became an educational disciplinary area especially for the dancers who construct that communicational path delivered to the audience from the stage. For that reason, techniques about movement and dance including concepts of expression by the human body have been discovered and applied in the history of theatre and dance education. The body language communication on the stage may differ from daily body language communication. For a contemporary actor, an education of acting goes together with the education of body language. The main concepts should include movement and dance techniques for giving the actor more body awareness. Actors who are aware of their body and voice will have a privileged place in their societal arts.In this work, the main principles of body language education and dance education will be examined and argued giving importance to the art of acting. A methodic proposal of a body awareness program for actors will be presented, which is posited to being very useful in the concept of interdisciplinary education for actors.İngilizce Anahtar Kelimeler: 1- Body Language 2- Dance 3- Theatre Actingı 4- Folk Dance
