Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine physical education and sports teachers' curriculum awareness and 21st century teaching skills. In the research, single survey and relational survey designs were used together in line with the quantitative research method. A total of 216 physical education and sports teachers, 91 female and 125 male, working at secondary and high school levels in the province and centers of Mardin, participated in the research. The "Curriculum Awareness Scale" developed by Pektaş (2021) to determine the curriculum awareness of the teachers and the "21st Century Teacher Skills Use Scale" developed by Orhan-Göksün (2016) to detect the 21st century teacher skills were used. Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test and Spearman Brown correlation coefficient statistics were used in data analysis. As a result of the research, it was concluded that physical education and sports teachers' psychomotor awareness, cognitive awareness and affective awareness, which were subdimensions of curriculum awareness, were high. In the sub-dimensions of teachers' curriculum awareness, no significant difference was found according to the variables of gender, professional seniority, educational status, graduated faculty, and the educational level they served. It was concluded that physical education and sports teachers had high levels of 21st century teacher skills in general and sub-dimensions of 21st century teaching skills. No significant difference was found in the teachers' 21st century teacher skills scale and its sub-dimensions according to the variables of professional seniority, educational status and the educational level they served. A significant difference was detected in favor of female teachers according to the gender variable in the productive skills dimension, one of the sub-dimensions of 21st century teaching skills, and in the affirmative skills sub-dimension according to the field of graduation variable, a significant difference was found between the physical education and sports department and the coaching department in favor of physical education and sports teaching graduates. A moderate and positive relationship was found between physical education and sports teachers' curriculum awareness sub-dimensions and 21st century teacher skills Keywords: Program Awareness, 21st Century Teacher Skills, Skill
