Abstract (EN)
Introduction and Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine pre-service physical education and sports teachers' perceptions of social entrepreneurship and social well-being according to some variables and to determine the relationship between them. Materials and Method: Research group consisted of 391 pre-service physical education and sports teachers. In the study, 'Pre-service Teachers' Social Entrepreneurship Qualifications Scale (PTSEQS)' and 'Social Well-Being Scale (SWBS)' were used as data collection tools. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and simple linear regression tests were used data analyses. Finding: Participants' social entrepreneurship perceptions were above the middle level, and their social well-being perceptions were at a high level. While the scores obtained from PTSEQS and SWBS did'nt differ significantly according to gender, university, class, place of residence before university education, income and father's education level; they differed significantly depending on participation in regular physical activity and duration of physical activity. While the scores of PTSEQS did'nt differ according to the frequency of physical activity, they differed according to the education level of the mother. On the contrary, while the scores of SWBS did'nt differ according to the educational status of the mother, they differed according to the frequency of physical activity. Result: Participants who regularly engage in physical activity had higher social entrepreneurship and social well-being perceptions. As the duration of physical activity increased, social entrepreneurship and social well-being increased. As teacher candidates' frequency of physical activity increased, their social well-being increased. Participants whose mother's education level is secondary school had higher social entrepreneurship. As teacher candidates' social well-being increased, their social entrepreneurship also increased, and social well-being was a significant predictor of social entrepreneurship and explained 11% of social entrepreneurship.
