Abstract (EN)

It is aimed to examine the relationship between the leisure time satisfaction and psychological resilience of physical education teachers working in Ümraniye District of Istanbul Province and the psychological resilience of the participants. In addition, it will be examined according to variables such as gender, age, marital status, educational status, working hours, sufficient free time, and weekly sports activities. The population of the research consists of physical education and sports teachers working in Ümraniye District, and the sample consists of volunteer physical education and sports teachers determined by the convenient sampling method (n = 258). In the study, data were collected with a personal information form, psychological resilience scale and leisure time satisfaction scale. The research was designed in a relational screening model in order to examine the relationship between leisure time satisfaction and psychological resilience of physical education and sports teachers. Data collection was continued online via Google form. The data obtained from the scales were analyzed with the IBM SPSS 24.0 package program. As a result of the normality test, it was determined that the data showed normal distribution. Accordingly, Independent sample T test and Oneway anova analysis were applied. In order to determine the difference between groups, Post-hoc analysis is a technique that finds small differences to be more conservative than the pairwise comparison tests used in pairwise comparisons of groups with homogeneous variances, and can be applied to groups whose variances are homogeneous but the sample group is different, and can be used when the number of individuals in the groups is not equal. Therefore, (LSD) test was used. Pearson Correlation Analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between psychological resilience and leisure satisfaction scales. In the statistical analysis and interpretation of the data, the significance level was taken into account as 0.05. As a result, it has been understood that gender is not a determining variable in the levels of psychological resilience and leisure satisfaction, and that men and women have similar characteristics. It is seen that teachers in the 30-33 age range have better free time relaxation levels and that age is a determining variable in the relaxation dimension. The psychological health levels of teachers in different age groups are also similar. It has been found that single individuals tend to relax more than married individuals. According to the teachers' working years, it is generally seen that newly employed teachers are at a worse level in terms of physiological relaxation tendencies, while teachers who have been working for 4-9 years generally reach positive satisfaction in terms of physiological and relaxation. It has been determined that teachers who have postgraduate education in psychological resilience have more social relaxation satisfaction. It has also been determined that the level of education has no effect on the level of psychological resilience. It has been determined that teachers who have sufficient free time achieve more relaxation and aesthetic leisure satisfaction. It has been understood that having free time is not a determining variable in the level of psychological resilience. It has been determined that individuals who do regular weekly sports (5-7 days) have more free time satisfaction in terms of social and relaxation. It has also been determined that regular exercise is not a determining variable in terms of psychological resilience. It has been determined that there is no relationship between the level of psychological resilience and leisure satisfaction, and that psychological resilience is not a noteworthy variable in leisure satisfaction.
