Abstract (EN)

Blood groups are a kind of cell identity which determined by various antigenic substances at blood cell membranes. From these antigenic substances a whole number of blood groups have been determined. ABO blood group system which was discovered by Landsteiner at first decades of 19th century is both first discovered and common using system.In this study, relationship between ABO blood group system and some diseases have been investigated. Using data has been collected from the 390 individuals. After this work, data have been evaluated by using SPSS statistical programme. Chi-square (X2) analysis has been done. Cumulative, absolute and proportional values were determined between analysis of the characters unreached limit of statistical significance and blood groups.Bone fractures, rheumatismal diseases, psychological diseases, hepatitis, measles, chicken pox, scarlet fever, whooping-cough, mumps, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, tension disorders, allergic diseases, renal diseases and cold were selected as the subjects of this research. However in this research blood group, sex, age, height and weight data from test subjects have been determined. According to our data there was no significantly relationship between blood groups and diseases but blood group distrubution is consistent with Turkish people?s.
