Abstract (EN)

A questionnaire has been handed out to 50 workers. 10 manufacturers have been chosen and inquiry forms have been filled out for their 50 products made by the technique of Telkari. These inquiry forms and Questionnaire forms have been explained in tables and the results have been declared in numbers and percentages. Moreover the stages in the making of a product made by telkari technique , wire drawing, preparing a model, appearance design, combining, welding, whitening and polishing all have been analysed in details and presented by photographs. The findings reveal that embroidery of Telkari has been learned through apprenticeship and tried to be continued in this way however because of the new generation?s indifference there has been a problem of employment. It has been revealed that The manufacturers get their designs via jewelry cataloques and the internet and accordingly they need different samples, they have problems in marketing their products and cannot get the worth of their labour and that they use moulding technique for mass-production. Within the light of these findings some suggestions have been put forward to yield better results.
