Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of irrigation water constraints in different salt and salinity levels on yield and quality parameters of Jalapeno pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) plant in Van District were investigated. Soil samples used in the study were obtained from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Agriculture experimental area. Tap water in the campus of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University was used as irrigation water. The experiment was carried out with 3 replications in 5 kg pots under greenhouse conditions. In each replication, 3 irrigation water levels (W1: 100 %, W2: 75 %, W3: 50 %) and NaCl - CaCl2 were used. These salts were applied at 4 different levels (S1: 0 dSm-1, S2: 3 dSm-1, S3: 6 dSm-1, S4: 9 dSm-1). According to the data obtained at the end of the study, under increasing salinity and water constraint conditions; stem diameter, fruit diameter, shoot length, shoot wet weight, shoot dry weight, fruit size, fruit weight, number of leaf, leaf thickness and number of fruits decreased, stem length, root wet weight, root dry weight and amount of water soluble dry matter increased.
