Abstract (EN)

It is thought that high temperatures due to global warming may prevent cultivation in agriculture. In addition to developing species and varieties that are resistant to changing environmental conditions due to changes in the climate, the durability of the plant should be increased..One of the most produced vegetables in open and greenhouse cultivation is pepper. The trial was carried out in Çığır village of İdil district of Şırnak province, Two separate plantings were done 40 days apart. The first potash fertilization was done 30 days after planting. Potassium sulfate (K2SO4) was applied at (0-1%-2%-3%) from leaves and roots (0-5-10-20 kg/da).The effect of potassium sulphate on the yield and quality of pepper plants under high temperature stress was investigated by foliar and root application. Evaluation of green parts, amount of chlorophyll in leaves, leaf temperature, leaf relative moisture content (RWC), leaf dry weight ratio, membrane damage were measured in the experiment. In addition, fruit width and length, average grain weight, total fruit yield, fruit dry weight ratio, fruit flesh firmness, pH, fruit thickness, SÇKM, number of seeds, macro and micro nutrient elements (Ca, K, N) and fruit in the leaf (Ca, K, N). Ca, K, Mg, N, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn) concentrations were analyzed. Considering the results of the experiment, potassium sulfate increased the dry weight of the green parts, the chlorophyll ratio in the leaves, the nitrogen (N), K content of the green parts, while it decreased the Ca value in the green parts. It increased the hardness, thickness and dry matter content of fruit flesh, which are among the fruit quality parameters. In high temperature stress, 2%+leaf and 5+soil application increased fruit yield.. As a result, it was determined that the fertilizer applied under high temperature stress increased fruit yield and quality.
