Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the possible difference between satisfaction with monaural hearing aid use and satisfaction with binaural hearing aid use in individuals with bilateral hearing loss according to the APHAB scale. 100 hearing aid users between the ages of 18-65 with sensorineural hearing loss who used hearing aids regularly for more than 6 months participated in the study. A statistically significant difference was found in all scale scores, except for the discomfort dimension, between those who used a single device and those who used two devices in terms of the amount of benefit (p<0.001). A statistically significant difference was found in all scale scores compared to the amount of benefit compared to the duration of experience (p<0.05) In comparisons made according to the amount of benefiting, a statistically significant difference was found in all scale scores except for the discomfort dimension (p<0, 0). 05). A statistically significant difference was found in the other scale scores, except for background noise and discomfort dimension, in comparisons made according to genders in terms of the amount of benefit (p<0.05). According to the results of the analysis, those who use two devices are more satisfied than those who use a single device; In all the scale scores that were found to be significant, the mean benefit of men is higher than the mean of women.
