Abstract (EN)
As knowledge has become indispensable, increased in amount, and got digitalized, knowledge management has risen in importance. Managing the knowledge effectively lay a significant base for innovation. Publishing industry undergoes a rapid change resulted by the technological developments and we can adapt ourselves to it only by developing knowledge and innovation management based business models. In this study, the differences between electronic publishing and traditional publishing, advantages and disadvantages of electronic publishing and innovative business models in electronic publishing industry are discussed. Besides, some suggestions about how to develop an effective business models in electronic publishing are presented based on the literature review related to the topic and analysis of in-depth interviews conducted with experts selected by using snowball sampling method from a sample of users, publishers, writers, editors and information technologies experts.
