Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the mediating role of intolerance to uncertainty and metacognition in the relationship between mindfulness and psychopathology indicators, depression and anxiety. The study was conducted with 103 men and 137 women aged between 18 and 57 years. In this study, which was tested with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, the Metacognitive Scale, the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale, the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale and the Brief Symptom Inventory were used as data collection tools. A two-stage approach was used to test the model. After testing the measurement tools used in measuring the variables, the relationships between the structures in the model were investigated. Goodness of fit values were obtained by subjecting the measurement model to confirmatory factor analysis. In the light of the findings obtained fromthe study, it was understood that the relationship between the mindfulness variable and well-being was only provided by the metacognitions, and that intolerance of uncertainty did not play any role in this process. One of the other important findings revealed by the results is the finding that the relationship between mindfulness and intolerance of uncertainty is mediated by metacognitions. Research results were supported by a literature study and suggestions were made for future studies.
