An ecological entrepreneurship case study: Tanal farm

The main aim of this study is to deeply understand the development story of ecological entrepreneurship. For this purpose, the conceptual discussion of ecological entrepreneurship has been conducted, and internal and external factors influencing the entrepreneur's decision-making and implementation have been attempted to be explained through a case study. Tanal Farm, chosen as the case study, is the oldest community-supported, ecological, non-profit farm in Antalya, which has been practicing ecological and organic farming since 1996. Within this scope, the economic and social structure of the case, the ecological awareness of the entrepreneur, the solutions proposed to which problems, the impact of legal regulations, and collaborations with stakeholders have been examined. Findings obtained from both interviews and other internet sources have been compared with examples encountered in the literature review and interpreted theoretically in terms of sustainability and participatory agriculture concepts. Thus, in-depth knowledge about the establishment and sustainability of entrepreneurship has been acquired, and the challenges faced and the support encountered in this process have been addressed from various perspectives. It is thought that this case study will be beneficial both academically and sectorally in providing an example to similar ecological entrepreneurs and in establishing a reliable infrastructure for researchers interested in theory development
