Abstract (EN)
The research was planned as a cross-sectional study to reveal the workload perception levels and work life quality of healthcare professionals working at Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. The research was conducted between March and April 2022. The population of the research consists of all healthcare professionals working at Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. The sample of the research consists of 300 healthcare professionals who were determined by systematic sampling among 856 healthcare professionals working in the hospital and who agreed to participate in the research. Research data were collected through surveys including "Sociodemographic Questionnaire", "Individual Workload Perception Survey", "World Health Organization Quality of Life Survey (WHOQOL-BREF)" questions. A high total score in both surveys indicates that the satisfaction level is positive. A total of 300 participants were reached within the scope of the research and it was determined that 59% of the participants were women. The participants were mostly between the ages of 20-30 (40.3%; n=121), married (59%; n=177), had no children (52%; n=156), had a bachelor's degree (43.1%; n=129) and were nursing students. It was determined that they graduated from the department (%43.7; n=131). The participants mostly worked as nurses (49.7%; n=149), had 1-5 years of institutional experience (48%; n=144), worked 8 hours or less per day (60%; n=180), and were generally satisfied with their profession. (49.5%; n=148) and were generally satisfied with the institution they worked for (43.0%; n=129). When evaluated according to the sociodemographic, professional and working life characteristics of healthcare professionals; It has been determined that the body perception levels of people aged 41 or over in the institution, single people, master's degree graduates, health workers working other than nursing depending on the department and unit they graduated from, those who work for 15 years or more according to their professional experience, and those who are not on duty have higher levels of body perception in terms of quality of life. However, it has been determined that people who are 41 years of age or older, those who are not graduates of medicine and nursing departments, those who work for 15 years or more according to their professional experience, those who have 11 years or more of institutional experience, those who work 8 hours or less per day, and those who work only during the day, have high workload perceptions. In our research, as the perception of workload increases, satisfaction increases; It has been observed that the perception of workload is low, especially in those who work on night shifts and in healthcare workers who are exposed to long working hours.
