Abstract (EN)

The aim of the conducted study is to investigate the relationship between recreational well-being and socialisation among people who participate in nature walks as a leisure activity. In this context, the relational survey model, a quantitative research method, was employed. The research population comprises individuals who participated in nature walks in Istanbul's Silivri district. The study sample consisted of 199 people who participated in a nature walk event in Silivri. The sample group was selected using a simple random sampling method. The research employed a personal information form, a socialization scale, and a recreational sports well-being scale as data collection tools. To evaluate the research results, we analyzed the data using the SPSS 25.0 program. We used the Mann Whitney U Test for pairwise group comparisons and the Kruskal Wallis test for comparisons between two or more groups. We conducted correlation analysis to measure the relationship between recreational sports well-being and socialization, using Spearman Correlation Analysis in this context. The significance level was set at p<0.05. The research data indicates that recreational sports do not have a statistically significant impact on well-being and socialisation, with respect to demographic variables. Therefore, this research suggests that engaging in leisure activities such as nature walks has a positive impact on individuals' well-being and socialization levels. This finding can serve as a guide for individuals to participate in various activities and encourage those around them.
