Abstract (EN)

In the studies about the life of Prophet Muhammed together with siyer and maghazi books, the sources of other Islamic sciences are also used. By the departure from this point, in the Al-Mabsut of Sarakhsi it is reached some knowledge concerned the Prophet?s life and personality.It is seen in our thesis clearly that, because of Sarakhsi?s this work a source book about Islamic law, the quite detailed knowledge is obtained regarding The Prophet Muhammed?s juristical application and economical life of the society which he had formed. Additionally, some news about his battle and struggle (gazve and seriyye) for defending Islam and sublimation the name of Allah are found widely in the work.al-Mabsut, contains some narrations which expressing Prophet Muhammed?s human side, moral traits and close relationship with the all people including independent-slave, woman-man-children etc. Besides, several exemplary attitudes concerning his family relations, human relations, his sensitiveness about praying community, warnings about not to look alike to the followers of other religions are fixed and appreciated.In addition to all of this, the narrations providing to understand Prophet, some cultural elements of the time and examples about his religious practices are also found in the Al-Mabsut of Sarakhsi.It is seen in our study that Sarakhsi has given, unfortunately, wrong information in some news transported as a proof for lawful judgment. Especially, it is well marked that some names are transported wrongly. In our study we fixed correct knowledge by applying to the early sirah sources.By this study we reached these conclusions: Al-Mabsut of Sarakhsi can be used in sirah studies but it requires working critically. The researcher must be careful about the fixation of the events not dated. He also must be attentive about the news that its accuracy is questionable. If so, this work will contribute considerably the sirah researcher who taking care about these cautions.
