National Vision Movement as a social movement

In this study, the position of the National Vision Movement taken from the section on mass movements literature was examined. In this context, the questions focused on the study may be expressed as: Can the National Vision Movement be considered a social movement? If it is acceptable, what reasons make the National Vision Movement a social movement? To what extent has the National Vision movement contributed to political and social life? The main similarities between the movement and the typologies of the social movement, whether or not the movement of national opinion can be expressed as a social movement, are discussed within its own historical and social conditions. Social movements, first used as a concept by Saint Simon and first scientifically discussed by Lorenz von Stein, have been studied in four different periods. Eight theories about the definition and explanation of the concept have been discussed. Qualitative, historical and descriptive methods were preferred throughout the research. The findings in this context are based on secondary data. As a result of this research, the National Vision Movement is similar to the old movement typologies in many ways, as well as the new social movement typology with the aim of creating a conservative identity.
